A stellar revolving ensemble featuring the compositions of guitarist Dave Peterson, along with saxophonists Hans Teuber or Warren Rand, drummers John Bishop, Mark Ivester or Gary Hobbs, Chuck on acoustic and electric bass and selected guest pianists such as George Cables and Dawn Clement among others.

QUINTETO/SEXTETO

Two-time Grammy award nominee pianist/composer Jovino Santos Neto and his band, featuring Harvey Wainaple on saxophones and clarinet, Mark Ivester on drums, Jeff Busch on percussion, Chuck on acoustic and electric bass, and Ben Thomas on vibraphone.  A heady blend of progressive jazz flavored by Jovino’s Brazilian roots as well as other world music influences.

SUSAN PASCAL QUARTET
Virtuoso vibraphonist Susan Pascal’s fresh sounding quartet blends the standard jazz repertoire with the more contemporary songs of Pat Metheny, Mike Stern and others. Susan’s group features Chuck on acoustic and electric bass, pianist Marc Seales, guitarist Dave Peterson, drummer Mark Ivester as well as other regional jazz luminaries.
 

BILL RAMSAY BIG BAND
Celebrated saxophonist and arranger Bill Ramsay’s swinging big band reflects the spirit and energy of the Count Basie orchestra (of which he was a member) and well as more modern influences, featuring top Northwest brass and woodwind players such as Jay Thomas, Brad Allison, Dan Marcus, Travis Ranney, Chuck on acoustic bass, as well as pianist John Hansen or Bill Anschell, and Greg Williamson on drums.

BRUCE FORMAN TRIO
This unique guitar trio explores a combination of free-association standards, melodic originals as well as a hard swinging feel.  Guitarist/composer Bruce Forman joins with Chuck on acoustic and acoustic bass guitar, and drummer/percussionist Gary Hobbs.

ÜBER BAND

This group of Origin Records artists got together several years ago to perform at the Ballard Jazz Walk in Seattle; the music is influenced by the electric progressive jazz of the 1970’s and features songs and arrangements by the members as well as songs by Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny as well as The Beatles and other pop bands.  The members are: Richard D. Cole, sax; Dave Peterson, guitar; John Bishop, drums, Chuck on electric bass, and various other members that have included pianist Marc Seales, guitarists Rick Mandyke and Dan Balmer.
